CALL FOR ABSTRACTS (4th National Science Week)

“The role of science and technology in the post-

2015 development agenda”, Nairobi, Kenya.



 
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation have organised the 4th National Science Week to held 11th to 15th May, 2015 in Nairobi. The event comprises of exhibition, robotics contest and a conference.

The aim of the Conference is to share and identify practical, evidence-based solutions to science and technology development in the post-2015 agenda in line with the Kenya Vision
2030. The Conference will bring together academia, researchers, scientists and practitioners working in universities, research organisations, industry, civil society, government and other stakeholders.


Dates: 11-15 May 2015

Venue: Central Catering Unit, University of Nairobi

Theme: The role of science and technology in the post-2015 development agenda

Sub-themes:

1.   Agriculture and Food Security
2.   Energy and Climate Change
3.   Environment and Natural Resources
4.   Water and Sanitation
5.   Knowledge Management and Technology Transfer


Abstracts submitted may be either from an academic or practitioner perspective, but must contribute to the theme and/or sub-themes. They must not have been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere. The abstract should not exceed 300 words but must include the authors name, mobile telephone number, email address, and institutional affiliation.
